Darren J. Keyes

Biography
Darren J. Keyes' practice involves a wide range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and development of real estate projects for owners, investors, and Fortune 500 companies. He represents purchasers and sellers in the sale of improved and unimproved real property, and landlords and tenants in retail, office, and industrial lease negotiations. Mr. Keyes also has practice experience in the areas of construction, public finance, and special districts, as well as industry experience with energy companies, health care organizations, and transportation providers.

 
Experience and highlights
  • Represented a downtown mixed-use developer in real estate and construction projects
  • Advised a national railroad in leasing negotiations, customer project transactions, and real estate projects
  • Negotiated and drafted construction and design agreements for over $1 billion in public and private projects
  •  Assisted a developer of a 17,000-acre master-planned international trade and logistics center and mixed-use development with regard to a land acquisition program and numerous other industrial, office and retail projects
  • Negotiated economic development agreements and private public partnerships for hotel-convention center projects and large urban mixed-use projects
  • Advised a major publicly-traded natural gas company in acquisitions of over $400 million in real estate assets in the Barnett Shale natural gas field consisting of over 300 separate transactions, and including hotels, shopping centers, office buildings, apartment complexes and raw land
  • Represented a medical retail chain with a national real estate acquisition and leasing program for 50+ locations
  • Negotiated complex ranch and residential real estate and construction projects for high net worth individuals
