Darren J. Keyes

Biography
Darren J. Keyes' practice involves a wide range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and development of real estate projects for owners, investors and Fortune 500 companies. He represents purchasers and sellers in the sale of improved and unimproved real property, and landlords and tenants in retail, office, and industrial lease negotiations. Mr. Keyes also has practice experience in the areas of construction, public finance and special districts as well as industry experience with energy companies, health care organizations, and transportation providers.

In addition to his professional work, Mr. Keyes serves on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross - Chisholm Trail Chapter and was appointed by the Fort Worth Independent School District's Board of Education to serve on the District Advisory Committee. He has also served in the United States Navy Reserve for ten years.
Experience and highlights
  • Assisted in the representation of a major independent natural gas company in the systematic acquisition of over $400 million in real estate assets in the Barnett Shale natural gas field consisting of over 300 separate transactions, and including hotels, shopping centers, office buildings, apartment complexes and raw land
  • Assisted in the representation of a major independent natural gas company in a    first-of-its-kind portfolio sale-leaseback transaction consisting of over $140 million of natural gas drilling sites located in the Barnett Shale natural gas field
  • Assisted in the representation of a national railroad company in leasing and      rights-of-way negotiations and numerous customer project transactions
  • Assisted in the representation of the owner and developer of a 17,000+ acre   master-planned international trade and logistics center and mixed use development with regard to a land acquisition program and numerous other industrial, office and retail projects
  • Assisted in the representation of owners and developers in the acquisition, development and sale of office buildings, hotels, mixed use developments and industrial parks
