Krystin Frazier - Santiago

Biography
Krystin Frazier-Santiago is an associate in the energy/environmental law section in our New Orleans office and represents clients in oil, gas and energy litigation and transactions.  She represents both oil and gas exploration companies, as well as land owners in various matters, including claims and disputes, environmental litigation, commercial litigation, and environmental regulatory work. Ms. Frazier-Santiago also has considerable experience in cases involving breach of contract, premise liability, products liability, toxic torts, and business disputes. 

Prior to joining Kelly Hart, Ms. Frazier-Santiago  worked for Forman Perry Watkins Krutz & Tardy law firm where she represented clients in toxic torts, asbestos, and environmental litigation.  Additionally, she was the responsible attorney for oilfield legacy litigation by landowners and public entities alleging environmental damage from oil exploration and production in New Orleans and Jackson, Mississippi.  Previously, Ms. Frazier-Santiago was an attorney with King, Krebs & Jurgens, PLLC  where she defended clients in oilfield litigation and environmental regulatory matters, as well as commercial litigation and business disputes.
  
Ms. Frazier-Santiago graduated in 2007, from Grambling State University, summa cum laude and valedictorian, with a B.A. in Mass Communication.  She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Southern University Law Center in 2011, where she served as Editor of the Southern University Law Review and Executive Editor of the Public Defender newspaper. 
  
Ms. Frazier-Santiago is an active member of the Louisiana State Bar and serves on the Board of Directors for Women’s Energy Network.
Experience and highlights
  • Defended clients in oilfield legacy litigation; and environmental regulatory matters
  • Successfully obtained two million dollar summary judgement from federal court on behalf of corporate client in breach of contract action
  • Assisted clients in the redevelopment and remediation of contaminated properties, hazardous waste cleanup, environmental permitting, land use, real estate transactions, environmental issues, and underground storage tank issues
  • Represented clients in toxic tort, asbestos, and environmental litigation
  • Negotiated favorable settlement for client in tax sale redemption case
