AUSTIN B. LAWS
BIOGRAPHY
Austin Laws is an associate in the Fort Worth office’s Litigation section. He represents corporate and individual clients in state and federal courts, handling complex commercial disputes, real estate construction litigation, and business fraud. His experience spans all stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and contested hearings.
Before joining Kelly Hart, Mr. Laws was a litigation associate at Ray, Pena, McChristian, PC. Earlier in his career, he served as a term law clerk for the Honorable U.S. Magistrate Judge Ronald Griffin in the Western District of Texas.
EXPERIENCE AND HIGHLIGHTS
- Represented clients in complex litigation matters, including commercial and residential real estate disputes, insurance defense, personal injury, premises liability, and breach of contract cases
- Managed written discovery and document production for federal and state litigation
- Drafted pleadings and responses in federal and state courts, including petitions, special exceptions, and motions for summary judgment
- Conducted witness interviews, site investigations, and in-depth fact-finding research
- Oversaw e-discovery processes and systems in various business disputes
