Caleb Bulls

BIOGRAPHY

Caleb Bulls graduated magna cum laude from Texas Tech University School of Law, where he served as Articles Editor of the Texas Tech Law Review. Mr. Bulls is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice. His practice focuses on representing corporate and individual clients in a wide variety of litigation in state and federal courts involving commercial disputes, business torts, personal injury cases, Deceptive Trade Practices claims, complex breach of contract actions, and arbitration. 

Mr. Bulls has a keen understanding of business and corporate law and uses his background in accounting to assist him in advocating his clients’ interests. He has strong written and oral advocacy skills that allow him to present and defend, or cross-examine witnesses in highly technical or otherwise complex subjects. Mr. Bulls has participated in numerous civil trials in state and federal courts and has participated in several arbitrations.

EXPERIENCE AND HIGHLIGHTS

• Trial counsel for home health care entity.  Obtained take-nothing judgment for client in face of request for damages seeking $10+ million.  In re Brady, 2024 WL 4198457 (Bankr. N.D. Tex. 2024)
• Trial counsel for polyethylene pipe manufacturer in wrongful death action.  Obtained summary judgment and complete dismissal in favor of client
• Trial and appellate counsel for malicious prosecution plaintiff.  Obtained $1 million verdict after week-long trial
• Trial and appellate counsel in franchisor/franchisee dispute.  Obtained seven-figure jury verdict after multi-week trial, which was affirmed on appeal.  Upshaw v. Lacado, LLC, 650 S.W.3d 61 (Tex. App.—Fort Worth 2021, no pet.)
• Trial and appellate counsel for municipality in suit brought by local firefighters.  Obtained summary judgment at the trial court in favor of municipality, which was affirmed on appeal.  Arlington Prof’l Fire Fighters, Int’l Assoc. of Fire Fighters, AFL-CIO Local 1329 v. City of Arlington, Texas, 2021 WL 4205012 (Tex. App.—Fort Worth 2021, no pet.)
• Arbitration counsel in commercial contract dispute, where client obtained multi-million dollar award against Fortune 100 Company
• Trial counsel in theft of trade secrets and unfair competition lawsuit against Fortune 100 company.  Obtained multi-million-dollar settlement for client
• Represented the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth in a lawsuit involving allegations of sexual misconduct.  Obtained a dismissal of all claims against the Diocese after the close of discovery.  Montgomery v. The Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth, et al., 2018 WL 1996154
• Represented municipality in connection with constitutionality of anti-smoking ordinance.  Obtained a dismissal of all claims asserted against the municipality
• Trial counsel to a business that was defrauded in connection with its acquisition of a home health agency.  Obtained a multi-million-dollar judgment after a six-week jury trial
• Trial counsel to chemical plant that was sued by a variety of individuals who resided in close proximity to the plant when it caught fire.  Obtained successful defense verdicts on the plaintiffs’ nuisance claims
• Trial court and appellate defense counsel in lawsuit involving attorney malpractice.  Obtained summary judgment defendant that was upheld on appeal.  Parsons v. Queenan, 2017 WL 360673 (Tex. App. – Dallas 2017, no pet.)
• Represented business in embezzlement action.  Obtained a multi-million dollar summary judgment on behalf of plaintiff
• Trial counsel on behalf of individuals sued by plaintiff who sought damages exceeding one million dollars.  Obtained a take-nothing judgment in favor of the defendant
• Trial court and appellate defense counsel in derivative lawsuit involving dispute amongst a restaurant’s shareholders.  Obtained summary judgment for defendant that was upheld on appeal.  Chan v. Sharpe, 2015 WL 5722833 (Tex. App. – Fort Worth 2015, pet. denied)
