Loulan J. Pitre, Jr. is partner in charge of Kelly Hart Pitre, the New Orleans office of Kelly Hart. Mr. Pitre concentrates his practice on energy and the environment. He is a leader in the field of environmental litigation and is particularly known for his practice throughout the state in oil and gas legacy litigation by landowners and public entities alleging environmental damage arising from oil and gas exploration and production operations, and he has published numerous articles on the subject. He also advises clients on regulations, transactions, legislation, and policy. His extensive legal background is enhanced by having served as a member of the Louisiana legislature from 2000 to 2008.
