Mark E. Bishop

BIOGRAPHY

Mark E. Bishop is board certified in commercial real estate law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. His experience includes the negotiation, due diligence review, documentation, and closing of sophisticated real estate transactions, including the acquisition and disposition of office buildings, hotels, commercial tracts, ranch land, and multi-family properties. Mr. Bishop also has represented a national retailer in multi-state land acquisitions and development work; negotiated and closed sale/leaseback transactions for a national retail client; negotiated office and retail leases for landlords and tenants; and represented developers in the acquisition, leasing, and management of shopping centers and mixed-use projects.

EXPERIENCE AND HIGHLIGHTS
  • Provided legal services for the development of a mixed-use project containing approximately 446,000 square feet of retail, restaurant, and residential space located in the uptown area of Dallas, Texas
  • Provided legal services for the acquisition of package distribution centers in Texas and Oklahoma for a national real estate investment trust
  • Provided legal services for the acquisition, development, and sale of a $34.1 million retail shopping center located in a suburb of Jackson, Mississippi
  • Provided legal services for the sale of a $125 million office building in downtown Dallas, Texas
  • Provided legal services for the initial lease-up of approximately 315,000 square feet of office and retail space for a 40-acre mixed-use development located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area
  • Provided legal services for the development of a mixed-use project containing approximately 130,854 square feet of retail, restaurant, and residential space located in the uptown area of Dallas, Texas
  • Provided legal services for new leases and renewals within an office building containing approximately 480,500 square feet of rentable area located in downtown Nashville, Tennessee
  • Provided legal services for the acquisition and development of a mixed-use project containing approximately 64 acres of land located in north Fort Worth, Texas
