Elizabeth Cuneo Thomas

BIOGRAPHY

Elizabeth C. Thomas is a partner in the Fort Worth office’s Litigation section.  Ms. Thomas represents companies and individuals across industries, including aviation/aerospace, banking, construction, electronic components distribution, energy, food distribution, hospitality, and sports/event production.  Ms. Thomas has extensive experience with all stages of litigation and has represented clients in bench trials, jury trials, arbitrations, and regulatory matters. 

Prior to joining Kelly Hart, Ms. Thomas was a litigation associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in its Dallas and New York offices, where she gained valuable experience representing clients ranging from Fortune 50 companies to asylum seekers and federal inmates.

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Ms. Thomas served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jane J. Boyle of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.  While in law school, Ms. Thomas interned with the Honorable José Linares of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey as well as for the Honorable Anthony J. Scirica of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Before going to law school, Ms. Thomas worked as an investment banking analyst for Bank of America, focusing on consumer and retail companies.  Ms. Thomas also worked as a litigation paralegal for Cravath Swaine & Moore LLP.

Ms. Thomas graduated from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in Government, where she served as co-captain of the varsity women’s lacrosse team.  While at Dartmouth, Ms. Thomas earned All-Ivy, All-America, and Division I Defensive Player of the Year honors for lacrosse.  Ms. Thomas was also inducted into the Wearers of the Green, Dartmouth’s athletic hall of fame.

Ms. Thomas earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School, where she was a teaching assistant for the 1L legal writing program.

  • Represented construction company in breach of fiduciary duty and trade secret case against former employee
  • Represented airline in sexual assault and retaliation lawsuit
  • Represented sports/entertainment company in negligence and sexual assault matter
  • Represented aerospace company in breach of contract arbitration
  • Represented wholesaler in breach of contract and bad faith action
  • Represented personal health products company in breach of contract claim bifurcated between state court and arbitration
  • Represented hospitality client in breach of contract and communication easement arbitration
  • Represented energy company in breach of contract class action*
  • Represented retailer in securities fraud litigation*
  • Represented technology company in FTC inquiry*
  • Represented foodservice company in EEOC investigation*
  • Represented retailer in Title VII discrimination class action*
  • Represented retailer in discrimination and unfair competition cases involving personal care products*
  • Represented surgical products manufacturer in products liability litigation*
