Nancy L. Ribaudo

BIOGRAPHY

Nancy L. Ribaudo specializes in bankruptcy, restructuring, and litigation matters. As a member of the firm’s Business Reorganization and Bankruptcy group, her representation includes creditors, debtors, committees, and Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 trustees in the Northern, Eastern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas and District of Delaware. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Ribaudo served as a law clerk to Bankruptcy Judge Russell F. Nelms in the Northern District of Texas, Fort Worth Division. Her experience also includes representation of both individual and business clients before federal and state courts in Texas, Washington D.C., Hawaii, Virginia, and Maryland, in a wide variety of matters, including contract disputes, business torts, copyright infringement, bankruptcy, and collection matters.

Through various matters, Ms. Ribaudo has represented clients across a broad spectrum of business sectors and industries, including retail, banking, manufacturing, real estate, food services, construction, oil and gas, and aviation services.

EXPERIENCE AND HIGHLIGHTS
  • Assisted in the successful sale of retail and office space through chapter 11 auction process resulting in purchase price $20M in excess of original bid and full payment to creditors under Chapter 11 plan
  • Assisted in the successful reorganization of several oil and gas companies through asset sales in Chapter 11
  • Assisted in successful sale of sports construction business through Chapter 11
  • Assisted in successful sale of regional hospital through Chapter 11
  • Assisted in the representation of an upscale grocer and restaurant chain through state law liquidation proceeding
  • Assisted in the successful reorganization of a recreational sport shop and retail business through sale in Chapter 11
  • Assisted in the successful sale of national specialty food franchise and reorganization of affiliated regional restaurant franchise through Chapter 11
  • Assisted in the representation of a manufacturer and wholesaler of in-home exercise equipment through reorganization
  • Represented Chapter 11 trustees in both business and individual cases
  • Represented various creditors with secured and unsecured claims in Chapter 7 and 11 cases
  • Successfully defended clients in preference actions
  • Successfully represented clients in negotiating claims allowance and contract assumption in Chapter 11 cases. Represented domestic airline in various aircraft acquisition, financing and leasing transactions
