The M&A Advisors selected Kelly Hart as the recipient of the Turnaround Award in the M&A Transaction category for the SEC 363 Sale of the Year ($100MM to $250MM). This recognition acknowledges their outstanding work on the restructuring and sale of the WC Braker Portfolio, LLC.
Led by Nancy Ribaudo, Jody Walker, Katherine Hopkins, Joseph Austin, Melissa Mota, and Jan McNeese, the Kelly Hart Team orchestrated an auction for commercial properties situated in Austin. Following 80 rounds of competitive bidding, the winning offer amounted to $102,250,000, facilitating full payment to creditors, with surplus funds earmarked for the equity owner and its bankruptcy estate as outlined in a joint chapter 11 plan.The auction attracted numerous bidders nationwide and was conducted on behalf of the chapter 11 trustee for the debtor’s bankruptcy estate and resulted in the full payment of all creditors.
The awards will be presented at the 18th Annual Turnaround Awards Gala, held during the 2024 Distressed Investing Summit on March 18-19 at The Ben Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida. The nominations, representing over 250 participating companies, were judged by an independent panel of industry experts.
